Last week we lost because we had no subs. We played well going up 3-0 in the first period, but we got tired and they scored 6 goals. Thanks to those guys who did show up.

Okay, I've got 2 subs lined up (Steve and Tyler). As of today Midget, Jake, Scott, Lev, Hode, DC are committed. I think Spencer said he'd be there. Reed I don't know about, and Cory and I are out. Which means you've got 8 for sure with 2 maybes. And Dick's getting the ref fees. Don't blow it and loose now!

I can't believe we won that game, 5-4 and very close. Props to Dick for his double and Reed for his triple which included the game winner with 10 seconds left! If we don't pick up any more players it's going to cost everybody $60 ($480/8), which is steep... so let's get some more guys.

Last week's game was a heart breaker... We played one of the best teams in the league Balistic (3-1-1). We just got unlucky at the end and let them tie things up. Thanks to everybody who showed up, we played well. I think Reed knocked in 2-3, Cory with 1-2 and Hode put 1 in. The final was 5-5.

Key tip for next week. No more fouls! Even if crazy lady is refereeing.

Great game last week guys. For those of you who missed out we won 4-2 thanks to some late goals by Colby and Jake. Lev was solid in goal (despite his shoes) and it was a close match the whole game. Dick managed to catch some video of the first of Colby's two goals...

Oh man, last weeks game was a heart breaker. We kept it close, and even had the lead most of the game. We were just missing to many guys and we got tired and could not keep up. The final was 6-5, thanks to everybody who did come. Leave your comments about availability for this week.

Key Tip: For next week we must play Man Defense. This means that when the other team possesses the ball, pick a man and stay on him until we get control of the ball again. Sometimes we get tired and allow guys to slide through, which leaves our defense outnumbered.

We played pretty well last week, I think the final score was 6-4 or something... though the other team forfeited so none of our goals counted. We have been credited with the win though, improving our record to 1-1-0. Which according to the standings puts us in first place!

About last week, we lost 7-3... not a great game for us. I think that this season will be much more challenging than our last one. Then again we were missing Cory, DC and Aaron so our offense was a little flat.

Guys Timp Indoor called last night and told me our first game will be on Saturday @ 5:20! Sorry for the early time, and short notice. That being the case, I need to know who can and can't be there. If we can't get enough guys there I will need to call them and plead for mercy tonight. So, it is imperative that everybody drops a comment regarding their status for Saturday.

Next Season...

I signed our team up and put $100 down, so it's a go. Apparently the next season will start August 4th. Please leave comments if you can commit to another season, if there are any Saturdays that you'll be missing.

With regards to last season, the league should be ours. As of now they have yet to update the site, but we should be in first with a 5-2-1 record and 16 goal differential. The next closest team would have been 5-3-0. So thanks to Ricks impressive triple we are now the champions!

Game #8

This will be the last game of this season for us. We had a great game last week, 5(?)-0! Lev got his clean sheet and the latinos got frustrated with us. That win improves things to 5-2-0, which is the best we've ever done. Probably because I've missed so many games.

I just checked the standings (they finally updated them) and we have 3 guys in the top 10 goal scorers... Cory with 9, Ben (Hode) with 6 and DC with 5! Apparently they don't keep track of Colby's.

We beat these guys once before, shorthanded and without a lot of offense. I heard that we won one and lost one last week. Thanks to everybody who showed up and endured both games. As always leave a posting if you're going to be there on Saturday.

I have confirmed that we will be playing a double header this week, and there is nothing we can do about it. Chuchichaeschtli is in 2nd place behind us with a 2-1-1 record. Mediocre is Ferdidan's team, we handled them fairly easy once already this season. I will be gone this weekend, so I expect you guys to win both games. As we are playing 2 games it is even more important we know who is/isn't coming, so please leave a comment.

Week Off 07.07.07

I think I had requested this week off as it seemed like a lot of people would be out of town with the 4th July. So have fun and take it easy. Last week we played another awesome game, beating Veracruz 4-1 and improving our record to 3-1-0. Hode and Colby both had doubles. Lev was 1 minute away from a cleen sheat.

Looking ahead, next week we apparently have a double header (I don't know what's up with that) with games at 7:00pm and 8:40pm... I will have to call the place and figure out what the crap is going on (details to come).

Last week we were short on guys but, we managed to play one of the best games Culdesac FC has seen beating an all Latino "Chelsy" 4-1. 06.09.07 - Week Off!

For some reason it seems like we are off this weekend. So go run up a hill or something so you're all in shape for next week. This also gives everybody time to get their act together, as nobody showed up for our last game. Props to the few brave guys who did make it, even though they lost 2-1 (which is a record for the all-time lowest scoring indoor game... maybe?).

Lev's Finest Hour

This was so awesome I thought it deserved a spot in Culdesac web-history... "Rick's Gloves" by Lev Johnson.

It also made me start thinking about that guy that cut the deer in half with his bike... if DC was riding behind that guy he could have sewn the deer back up with his bike... maybe?

We'll be playing "Chuchichaeschtli" (DC is the only "gringo" that can pronounce that correctly because he almost became a Spanish professor; even though it might be German). Season Recap

Welcome to the blog...

Looks like we finished up last season 3-4-1 and in 5th (of 8) place.

Looking forward to another season. I will not be doing emails anymore but just posting any updates here. So check back whenever you need to know anything. I still haven't heard anything about when we will start, but I'll let everybody know. They told me we'd have Memorial Day weekend off, and I requested that all games be after 7:30pm. But, we'll see what happens...
